BarcodePilot · Created by Byte Solution
This notice explains information processed when a merchant connects a Shopify store to BarcodePilot and when someone contacts us. BarcodePilot is designed to help manage missing EAN-13 barcode values; it does not replace populated supplier codes.
Information processed for the app
When a merchant authorizes BarcodePilot, the app stores an offline Shopify session and access and refresh tokens in its Prisma/PostgreSQL database. Session metadata may include a Shopify merchant user ID, name, and email when Shopify provides them. The app also stores the shop domain, barcode prefix, next sequence, automatic-generation setting, and cached catalog counts.
For barcode assignments, stored records can include Shopify product and variant identifiers, titles, SKU, barcode, status, and timestamps. Bulk work may store cursor and progress information so processing can continue. BarcodePilot uses Shopify product APIs to read catalog values and write barcodes only where a barcode is missing, subject to the app’s checks.
Billing
Shopify-hosted billing and Shopify Partner API subscriptions handle plan selection and subscription status. BarcodePilot does not handle your card details. Shopify’s own privacy and billing terms apply to information processed by Shopify.
Hosting, logs, and service providers
The app is hosted on Replit and uses a PostgreSQL database. Shopify processes information as part of authorization, product access, and billing. Server access logs may include request metadata and authentication-related query context. The shared stylesheet can request fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the network metadata needed to serve those requests. We do not add analytics to the marketing site.
CSV exports are read-only outputs. A full-catalog barcode audit is a paginated point-in-time review, not a transactional snapshot; catalog changes during the review may affect what it contains.
Uninstall and deletion requests
Authenticated Shopify uninstall and shop-redaction webhooks delete the shop's stored sessions, numbering settings, cached counts, and generated-assignment records. Operational records such as bulk-run progress, access logs, and provider backups may remain. We keep information to operate and secure the service, respond to support, and meet applicable obligations; contact us about retention or deletion of remaining records.
Website and support messages
When you email us, we receive the address and message content you provide and use it to respond and support the service. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information by email. The marketing site does not add analytics.
